After having used the Klymit Inertia Ozone sleeping mat on a recent wild camp along the Cleveland Way, the following video is a quick summary of my thoughts on it. Designed to be lightweight, the Klymit Inertia Ozone is oddly shaped but intended to be just as warm as mats without what Klymit call ‘loft pockets’. An integrated pillow features on this mat too, which also sets it apart from those I have used in the past.
In all, the Klymit Inertia Ozone is an odd one. It can be very comfortable – depending on how you sleep. If you move around too much or sleep on your side, then depending on the surface underneath; it may not be so great. The loft pockets didnt seem to let any cold through, I didnt slide off the mat like I sometimes do on my Exped, it is extremely light and has an integrated pillow. But, it’s not for everyone. Only really non fidgety back sleepers. But for those people, this is a great lightweight option for potentially 3 season use.
