This is one of our favourite sections of the Cleveland Way, which is found within the North York Moors national park. There is a fantastic spot to wild camp on this part of the long distance path if wild camping is your thing. On this particular occasion, a tarp was favoured over a tent. Being on the east coast, there is quite often a spectacular sunrise, which makes this a great backpacking route to wake up on. An impressive sunset was gifted this time round, despite not being able to fully see the sun disappear below the horizon; a beautiful warm sky dominates memories of this trip. When people think about the North York Moors, they would often think about the moorland itself or perhaps Roseberry Topping for example; but there is some beautiful coastline to be explored.
