Fairfield Horseshoe – January 2016

A quick collection of photographs from a trip which was planned to involve and overnight wild camp during winter, on the Fairfield Horseshoe. The weather had forecast strong winds and snow, and was certainly not wrong. Once approaching Dove Crag, persistant strong winds made it difficult to remain standing. Gusts were forecast to be around 70mph. A hasty retreat to Priest’s Hole Cave meant a comfortable night nonetheless.
