Dollywagon Pike Summit Wild Camp – September 2015

Treated to fantastic weather on a Dollywagon Pike Summit wild camp on the 1st September. The walk up to Dollywagon pike summit itself started from Grasmere, followed by quite a slog up Great Tongue to Grisedale Tarn below Fairfield. A quick stop to collect some water that would later be filtered for cooking and drinking then it was onwards and upwards, chasing the light. Getting to the summit at around 9pm, most of the light was gone. Despite the disappointment of no sunset views, the night was a calm one, and the morning provided no end of epicness!
